DAY PHEASANT HUNTS
Tim Wrightman and his “Lazy Bear Ranch” come together for a “top notch” hunting experience. Tim is a super host. He is an amazing person with a fabulous history to share. He shares his time and experience with you as hunters, while sharing some of his favorite stories regarding the time he spent with the Chicago Bears football team. I have hunted many different preserve facilities and wholeheartedly recommend the “Lazy Bear Ranch” as the best bird hunting preserve in Idaho and the surrounding area. His facilities including the lodge and grounds are second to none. Tim offers a terrific guided hunt with lunch included at an incredibly reasonable price. What makes Tim’s facility the BEST is the overall hunting experience with a great natural hunting habitat and pheasants that fly strong and cackle like wild birds. Dear Tim, Martha and I had such a good time at your wonderful Lazy Bear Ranch. The accommodations, food, dogs, birds & weather were all top notch! It was the best birthday present ever! I really enjoyed you and Pat and appreciated your excellent guiding. The only thing that could have been better was my shooting. I’m resolved to shoot more clays and redeem myself at the Lazy Bear sometime in the near future! Tim is true to his word when he says he takes care of all of “the dirty work” as his self-created duck blind was stocked with food and surrounded by decoys before my friends and I arrived at the river. Afternoons of pheasant hunting followed by delicious dinners and poker games made for an outstanding experience. I hadn’t been hunting for over 20 years, but Tim and his staff helped bring back fond memories of my hunting days back in Nebraska. Having known Tim for years I knew I could bring my clients to his ranch and they would be treated to a fun-filled weekend and that is exactly what they received. Tim’s attention to details and time spent preparing for our arrival made for what one of my clients described as “a perfect weekend”. I met Tim more than 20 years ago when he was the tight end for the Chicago Bears Super Bowl XX Championship team. As a football player Tim was “Ditka-ish”, a tenacious blocker who had great hands and a challenge to bring the big guy down. Trust me on this one, as I know from experience. One night I told him, “Hey Wrightman, you’re not that big!!” You can imagine what came next. As a friend I know him as being loyal, funny, first class guy who is a helluva a lot of fun to be around. I did not think it was possible but, you managed to thrill, over feed and excite our business associates and clients, again. We thought to ourselves, we would never be able to solidify a client by taking them to the Lazy Bear Ranch on a duck, and pheasant hunting excursion. Boy, were we wrong. The outdoor bar, patio is a great addition to an already amazing establishment and the view there is fantastic. Everyone loves that one can sit around the fire, eat great food, and watch a football game on that unbelievable outdoor patio. Soaking in the hot tub after all day hunting and looking at the clarity of the millions of stars in the sky is the most relaxing and stress free moment I have had in a long time. The food on the other is not just good - “it’s outstanding!" All our clients rave about the large portions and gourmet quality. We definitely got our money's worth! Your accommodations and your hospitality are so top notch; we sometimes forget how great the hunting is. For the last two years we have always hit our limit on ducks and pheasant. It amazes other hunters we tell that go to pen raised ranches to hunt, that we always get our limit at the Lazy Bear Ranch. We tell people there is nothing more exciting then wild duck and pheasant hunting in the fall at the Lazy Bear Ranch! Again, thank you. See you in fall 2009!
